Hard tasks ahead as Yemen truce holds SANAA-AFP: Almost three weeks after agreeing to a ceasefire ending a fierce war between the Yemeni army and northern rebels, the harder tasks lie ahead, with some 250,000 displaced people to return to their homes and civilian and military captives to be released.

National Center for Human Rights and Democratic Development (NOD) has invited by Qatar Foundation for Combat trafficking of Human Beings to participate in Al-Doha meeting titled ; The Arab initiative to build national capacities to combat trafficking in human beings.
The Conference will be held in Al-Doha during March 22-23,2010 under the auspices of Sheikha Mozah Bint Al-Mosnad First Lady of Qatar.
Chairman of NCHRDD, Gamal Al-Awadhi declared that the center is preparing for a training program for Journalists, civil society organizations and political parties on nonviolent actions or civil resistance .
The program aims to meet the increasing violence between civil society and the security forces and call for non-violence to achieve human rights demands.
Thousands of demonstrators in southern Yemen protested to demand the release of the detainees. The Yemeni security forces have arrested a number of demonstrators who are demanding to separate south from north of Yemen yesterday, Wednesday. South Yemen is witnessing acts of violence by security forces as well as the protesters , which resulted in deaths and injuries on both sides .
